  • How does parking work here?
  • Can we please see the bridal suite also other getting ready spaces that are available on site
  • What time can set up start & tear down end? (Please specify AM or PM)
  • Do you have a preferred vendor list or outside vendor restrictions? If so, could you share that with us
  • What’s your bad weather backup plan for outdoor ceremonies and receptions
  • Describe any decor limitations or restrictions imposed by management (if any)
  • Tell us about sound system that comes with the rental fee and size/type dance floor available
  • Are there any music/entertainment genre restrictions/prohibitions enforced by venue policy or local ordinances
  • Is this facility wheelchair accessible throughout all parts including restrooms ; ramps/stairs/elevators etc., where necessary? If not fully accessible please describe which areas remain inaccessible
  • Cancellation Policy- How much notice must be given before canceling and will it result in full loss of deposit made at booking or just partial forfeiture thereof?
  • What is required as initial reservation fee (deposit) amount due upon signing contract ; when will final payment be due
  • Do we need to purchase wedding insurance? If so, how much coverage is required and by what date must it be purchased?
  • What sets The Bowden apart from other venues?
  • Can you provide references from past clients who were married at your establishment; if not can you share any testimonials or reviews about the venue that have been published elsewhere

These are questions whose value I have come to know through experience. For example, a couple inquired about our sound system only last month. You should have seen their faces light up when they heard that we could accommodate a live band in there!

Still another duo was anxious about their grandmother’s mobility. But once I unveiled our elevator, which has a wheelchair-friendly design, you could almost feel them relax right before your eyes! It is these moments that keep me loving what I do.
