16 May Small Things Brides Typically Forget to Have On Their Wedding Day
Have you ever heard of “baby brain?” Many pregnant women claim to suffer from it when they aren’t able to remember what they could before baby. Well, for brides, the same issue exists. Except instead of “baby brain” it’s “bridal brain”.
WeddingWire’s 2017 Newlywed Report says 63% of brides say they feel a lot of pressure to have the perfect wedding. Unfortunately, that pressure can lead to missing important details. To help you out, here are some things you definitely cannot forget about.
You Have to Feed Your Vendors
Imagine going to work for 10 or 11 hours and not having anything to eat. You’d probably be extremely grumpy and find yourself super unmotivated. Now, imagine if the people working your wedding went 10 or 11 hours without eating. Mistakes could be made, causing drama and a lot of stress. To prevent this, make sure you feed your banquet space vendors. At least two weeks before the big day you’ll be expected to give the caterer your final guest count. But don’t forget to include the wedding venue staff in that number.
Don’t Forget the Guest Book
Many brides may leave this wedding essential until the last minute. So if you do, don’t panic. If your wedding is during the spring and summer there may not be many choices of guest books left in stores. But, heading to a local bookstore for a coffee table book or a cookbook is a great alternative. Also, you can’t have anyone sign the book if you don’t bring pens or Sharpies with you to your wedding space!
People Will Need to Charge Their Phones
Want to have the wedding of the year? Pick up some extra tech chargers and bring them with you to the wedding. You can usually find outlet bricks and cords for a pretty reasonable price. So, picking up five or six of them (that will work with any device) will allow your guests to enjoy their night while staying connected. Check with your potential places to get married and see if they have outlets available for guest use. Hint: Out of all of the places to get married, the ones that have accessible outlets can not only help your guests, your but photographer or videographer, as well.
After sorting through all of the wedding cake flavors, places to get married, and DJ’s, it can be easy to forget the small things. Make a list of everything you could possibly need on your big day (and more) and get ready for the best day of your life.
